Sara Jorigne-Lechat- RYE France
Tonight we heard from our brand new Rotary Youth Exchange Student, Sara Jorigne-Lechat.
Sara introduced herself to everyone and told us a little bit about herself and her family, and also about where she is from, Niort, France.
Sara is looking forward to her year in Australia and conquering her fear of spiders and snakes!
She has started in Year 11 at James Fallon High School and is currently staying with the Anstis family.
Please make Sara very welcome and remember to invite her along to something throughout the year.
IN OTHER NEWS
Chris informed members that he, along with Glen and Melissa attended the recent Zoom meeting regarding the Membership Action Plan. Many different ideas and strategies were discussed regarding new ideas, change and becoming involved. Please speak to Chris if you would like some more information.
The Albury PCYC will be holding a fundraising coffee morning on the last Tuesday of each month.
Glen told us that the Astor Raffle went off last week to a lucky gent from Wodonga who walked away with $2200.
From President Peter
President Peter thanked the members who assisted at the Circus Quirkus shows last week. From all reports, the children loved the performance.
Peter also showed us a video from the Boccia team at Albury North Public School who the club have assisted financially to attend the tournament in Sydney. The team came 7th in the state and had a great experience.
