Guest Speaker

Jo Vincent, a network facilitator from Wodonga Urban Landcare Network (WULN), spoke to the club tonight about who they are and what they do.
WULN is a registered charity and aim to support, inspire and connect stewardship groups to achieve biodiverse, connected and sustainable landscapes.
  • Collective of 18 member groups
  • Working on over 30 different patches or issues across Wodonga.
These groups are supported by a skills based Board and 6 staff.

Staff work to support volunteers under the Landcare banner and the broader community to
  • improve waterways
  • create and restore habitat across our landscape
  • encourage habitat creation in backyards
  • facilitate and educate about citizen science
  • connect divers communities with nature
  • lead collaborative action by building partnership and working key authorities.
We live in one of the fastest growing regions and this places pressure on our natural environmental and green space.
Through advocacy, partnerships, education and on ground works we have demonstrated that we can support positive environmental outcomes.

More information about WULN can be found on the webiste.
