Melissa advised members that the RCA Christmas party will be Monday 15th Dec at Mercy Connect Thurgoona. ( see attached flyer)
$25 / head , 3 course meal, with some fun activities planned for the night.
Michael K - provided an update on the changes to the Country Hope Astor raffle on Friday nights.
The management of the Astor have decided they wish to run a Joker Poker on Friday nights and have offered CH Wednesday, Thursday or Saturday as an alternative.
It was generally agreed sourcing volunteers for a Saturday night would be impossible, Thursday is not so popular but Wednesday currently has a Trivia Night each week with maybe 60 in attendance.
The Club has decided to trial Wednesday nights to gauge if it is financially worthwhile and if not perhaps an alternate venue may be explored in conjunction with CH.
Certainly a pity after our long term relationship with the Astor - right back to Camp Quality days but unfortunately times change.
Michael & Glen will continue to co-ordinate the CH raffles and if you are currently on the Friday roster but unavailable on a Wednesday please let them know.

RCA members attended the opening of the Avenue at the Albury Botanic Gardens.
The Rotary seat replaces the Wishing Well but unfortunately, the curved timber seat that goes on top of the stone work is still in manufacture and will hopefully be fitted before Christmas.
