Izzy and Edo - our recently returned RYE students.
Tonight, we welcomed back the two students that the club sponsored for RYE in 2025, Izzy and Edo.
They both gave a presentation about their year abroad and the various experiences they had while away.
Izzy spent her year in Denmark and was hosted by the RC of Ballerup and Edo went to Chile and was hosted by the RC of Santo Domingo. Two very different experiences but both have come home to Australia more confident and mature after being young ambassadors for Rotary and their country.

Michael advised members that the Country Hope raffle has been a little slow of late but we have had some very hot weather which may be contributing to that. There will be a cheque presentation to Country Hope on Wednesday 11th February
Sara - Thanked the club for hosting her and gave a quick run down of her activities over the school holidays. She spent Christmas in Manangatang (near Mildura), with her host family. They also went camping in Tathra until they were washed out and came home early! And she got to go to the Australian Open with other students. On the very hot days of the recent week, she has spent time at the River cooling off.
Alison - thanked the students for their presentation and advised that the Rebound Orientation weekend would be held on 7th-8th of February which all students would attend.
Peter - Welcomed a very special guest in AshokShrestha from the RC Dhulikhel in Nepal, and also Matt Flaherty from RC Belvoir Wodonga. Peter has spent time with Ashok when participating in RAWCS projects in Nepal, where Matt has run eye clinics in rural areas.
