Guest Speaker

Tonight our guest speaker was Katrina Pawley CEO, Food Share Wodonga - Katrina provided members an insight into the range of services FoodShare provide to the local community ranging from emergency food distribution, rescue and recycling of surplus foods, community garden produce, school breakfast program,  a Youth at Risk and Volunteer placements programs and assistance for victims of domestic violence.
She said Food Share "wrap their arms around those in need" which is such a lovely way to describe the help offered to those less fortunate in the local community.
Katrina talked about different fund-raising activities Food Share are exploring and expressed how grateful Food Share are for the generous support from our Club in particular becoming the major sponsor for the Border Easter Egg Hunt. They have bigger and better plans for 2026 and look forward to our involvement once again.

IN OTHER NEWS

We also caught up with Sara to hear what she has been up to lately travelling around, enjoying the O&M Grand final and visiting the Jindera Pioneer Museum.
As you can see in the photo dressed in 1800 or early 1900 attire, she looked the part helping out at a recent museum function.

Graeme Sayer thanked the Club for our recent support at the Domestic Violence Forum, detailed the success of the student morning tea with Phil Cleary and confirmed a street march is being planned to be held in Albury during the 16 days of Activism - negotiations are currently underway with ACC and further details will be provided soon.
