Shaun Taylor spoke about how Bryce nominated him as our Bushfire Response Co-ordinator. Shaun has been working with the District to work out what is really needed. An immediate thing we can do to assist is to provide $10,000.00 towards purchasing fencing tools and equipment. Shaun’s full report is attached and I suggest everyone have a read. Thank you for time and attention on this important work, Shaun.

Chris Lewis and Rebecca Cooper spoke about Working with Children Checks. Chris is trying to update the Club’s records verifying that everyone holds a current valid check. Many are about to come up for renewal. Rebecca spoke about the identification requirements being updating, it is now required to provide 4 forms of ID. The process can start with an online application on Service NSW’s website. It is then required that you attend their office with your identification for verification. Rebecca and Staff at Service NSW are happy to help, please pop in to see them!

Stephen O’Connell OAM from Albury-Hume who was attending as the Assistant District Governor spoke about the upcoming District Conference. The theme being “2020 Vision”. Stephen mentioned that it is a very important event and, considering that it will be held in Albury, it’s a great opportunity for members to attend with lots to learn and many people to meet and socialise with. There is a link on the Rotary Club of Albury’s website. https://alburyrotary.club/ To attend you will have to Register.
