Tonight, we heard from Karin and Lou about The Welcome Project, A NSW Government project that assists skilled professionals moving to our region by helping them find employment, accommodation, schools and community connections and many other things, to help them settle into the city.
Karin explained that as much as they help in these practical areas, there is a gap which is the human layer and social connections whether this be through sports, community groups or making friends to help these new comers to our region, feel like they belong.

Charlene is looking for volunteers to assist with driving veterans in the ANZAC day march on April 25th.

A cheque for $10,000 was presented to Country at the Astor Hotel last week. Thank you to those members who attended.
The curved wooden seat has now been added to the stonework at the Rotary seat at the Albury Botanic Gardens. The plaques will be added at a later date.
Peter advised that the fire pit that was at the school in Corryong is now being relocated to the Lucyvale Hall as the school did not want it. Locals meet often at the Lucyvale Hall and this will be well utilised there.
The office release of the Mercy Connect Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan was released on Wednesday February 4th.
RC Albury has a long relationship with Mercy Connect.
Michael K & Bert attended the Border Rotary Community Group 2026 planning meeting on February 6th. Options for another Forum, Yr 12 presentation, street march and picnic are all being considered. More details to follow.
