The Welcome Experience - Regional Development Australia.

President Peter with Lou and Karin
Tonight, we heard from Karin and Lou about The Welcome Project, A NSW Government project that assists skilled professionals moving to our region by helping them find employment, accommodation, schools and community connections and many other things, to help them settle into the city.
Karin explained that as much as they help in these practical areas, there is a gap which is the human layer and social connections whether this be through sports, community groups or making friends to help these new comers to our region, feel like they belong.
If anyone would like to assist in this area, please contact Karin or Lou
For more information about the project, see the link below.

A cheque for $10,000 was presented to Country at the Astor Hotel last week. Thank you to those members who attended.

The curved wooden seat has now been added to the stonework at the Rotary seat at the Albury Botanic Gardens. The plaques will be added at a later date.
Peter advised that the fire pit that was at the school in Corryong is now being relocated to the Lucyvale Hall as the school did not want it. Locals meet often at the Lucyvale Hall and this will be well utilised there.
