Update from Mikayla in Denmark 🇩🇰
This is me with my first host family ( My host mum Louise, My host dad Steen and my little host brother Christian) at the airport on the day i arrived in Denmark. On my first day here i meet all my host families and had a very beautiful breakfast.
I live in a small city about 15 minutes away from Aalborg and I visit Aalborg almost every day as I attend school there and I like to visit friends and other exchange students in the city.
I have been shown around Aalborg and I have fallen in love with all the beautiful and cute streets and houses. I have visited many beautiful places and cant wait to visit many more. I started school at Aalborg Katedralskole. It is a very hippie like school , I was placed in an A level math and Biotechnology class which can be challenging but there are some very amazing and friendly people.
Everyone was so welcoming and I have made some amazing friends. I attend Danish Lessons 2x a week for 2 hours with other exchange students. Danish is a very difficult language to learn and understand but I am sure I will get the hang of it soon. I am loving my stay so far in Denmark!!!!
