New President for 2022/23, Peter Elias spoke at the club's change over dinner on Monday 20th June. You can read his speech below.

I wish to acknowledge and offer a huge thank you to PP Charlene who when we were stuck midway through the year took on the Presidents role and has provided me wonderful insight into the leadership of the Club. I should also thank Bob Walker for his Vice Presidents role and for the friendly chats and Rotary mentoring.
The Rotary Club of Albury has a long and proud history, and I am truly honoured to be take on the Presidency role to lead the Club in 22/23. Looking through the names who have previously held the position I have enormous shoes to fill but with a keen and supportive Board we aim to grow the Club and serve the community as we have generously done since 1927.
I call upon everyone to help out where that can and don’t hesitate to volunteer when the opportunity arises. Social outings are slowly returning to pre covid freedom so hopefully Club projects will be back on the agenda.
From everything I have read or heard in Zoom meeting Rotary ‘s greatest challenge at present is growing membership – engaging members and making sure we represent all sectors of the community. I think our Club is like so many others we can do more work in promote diversity, equality and inclusion within our membership.
Thank you and let’s have a great year.
