Changeover dinner

Members and guests enjoyed a fantastic night on Monday for our Changeover Dinner. Our special guests included AG Stephen O'Connell, RC Albury North President Anne Hayward, David Gleeson, and Shirley Crawford.
 
Outgoing president, Charlene, gave her final report for the last 12 months, along with a slide show of various photos of events that many of our members have participated in over the year. She then handed over the reins to our new president for 2022/23, Peter Elias. 
 
Our theme for the night was 'International' and we saw some great outfits! President Peter tested our International knowledge with a quiz. It would seem by the results, we are all a little dusty. Clearly, we need some overseas travel again! It was a great night with lots of laughs. We congratulate President Peter on his appointment and look forward to the year ahead.

  • Members were informed of the passing of District Governor Anne Reid over the weekend. Our club members extend their sympathy to her family and friends.
 
  • We wish Mike and Jean Burke all the best for their trip to the UK and thank them for the incredible time and effort they have put into the BBQ and Astor raffle. May they enjoy a well earned holiday.
 
  • The Club Roster for the next 12 months has been drafted and circulated – thank you Bob Walker, if everyone could please check when they are required and if unavailable, please arrange a replacement.
 
  • Circus Quirkus is on Friday July 29th. Two sessions at the Commercial Club 10.30am and 12.30pm More details to follow

Is being involved with international aid projects-visiting other countries as part of a RAWCS team has been a very rewarding experience which I have been lucky enough to be a part of since 2000.
A fun fact about me:
Becoming first time grandparents in the last 12 months has brought heaps of fun and pleasure into our lives.
